Students who lie about where they live in order to go to different schools are not uncommon.

Due to the inequalities amongst public schools, many parents are illegally transferring their students to different schools in order to attain a safer and more beneficial educational experience. Both students and parents lie about their living addresses in order to apply for different school districts. This deception is treated with an extensive degree of severity. In some states, parents face $15,000 fines and jail sentences.
