2014 Dunk Contest Promises Impress
February 6, 2014
Though the days of Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins have passed, the 2014 Dunk Contest lineup shows promise to create an exciting spectacle of flying men. Ever since Dwight Howard’s amazing “Superman” performance, the contest has lost the classic awe-dropping touch of the ’90s. This year, the NBA looks to launch the contest back into its esteemed place in sports.
The 2014 lineup contains many of the young, high paced guards the NBA has come to love. The roster is as follows: Paul George, John Wall, Damian Lillard, Terrence Ross, Harrison Barnes, and Ben McLemore.
The NBA has certainly created a lot of interest with this group of guys. Of course, only their abilities to defy the laws of gravity, and progress the sport of dunking will tell if they are able to put the NBA Dunk Contest back amongst the most entertaining events in all of sports.
