Sean Priest, M-A's new Dean of Students.

As the year 2010 commences, Menlo-Atherton welcomes the new Dean of Students, Sean Priest. Already hard at work, Mr. Priest assumed his position as the new Dean on January 3rd. Though he has no experience as a Dean, Mr. Priest was a teacher in South San Francisco and taught a wide variety of subjects.

Although he had no personal connection to M-A, Mr. Priest was familiar with M-A’s legendary bear pride, along with its widespread reputation as a great school, and took the job as an amazing opportunity. “It was very easy to get settled in and everyone was amazingly welcoming,” said Mr. Priest, describing his first days on the job.

Mr. Priest expressed that the main reason he was interested in this position was to keep everyone safe. His duties as the new Dean are to reprimand inappropriate behavior, make sure attendance stays high, and keep the student body free from any danger. He is quickly learning the ropes at M-A and is off to a great start. His door is “always open for any student, any time.”
