Despite the attempted 4th down conversion by Michigan clearly being short of the first down, the official awarded the Wolverines with a new set of downs. I understand, sometimes a ref just makes a mistake. The more unbelievable part was, when the play was challenged, the ruling of a first down was upheld. It makes you think that the reviewing process must be looked at, to make sure that stuff like this doesn’t happen again.
