The Menlo-Atherton boys’ lacrosse team, coming off a a 1-6 record, have recently won three straight games and look to continue their path to redemption.

As the team’s chances of making the PAL playoffs have nearly diminished, the team’s spirits have remained positive and constructive.
As sophomore Pierce Osgood said, “Although we have had our share of difficulties this year, our young team should have a lot of success in the years to come.”

The team’s high point this season came this last Tuesday when they beat Los Altos with a dominating score of 16-3. The league win was made successful thanks to major contributions by freshman sensation Drew Uphoff who finished the game with three goals. Zander Rohn also had a hat trick while junior John Athens contributed with a pair of goals and an assist.

As many athletes would have lost hope and thrown in the towel, M-A lacrosse has bounced back and looks promising even as there season will end short of the PAL playoffs. With over two-thirds of the team returning to the field next year, a successful year is expected.
