Sports: Varsity Girls Lacrosse: Young, Talented, Driven
The M-A girls varsity lacrosse team is looking to have another great season, adding a lot of young talent to the roster in hopes of doing so.
“With so many new varsity players, we are looking forward to working together and forming a flexible, talented and confident team,” said senior co-captain Madison Frame.
The Bears were forced to bring in some younger players after losing four seniors from last year’s team. Including M-A Athlete of the Year, Diane Masket. Regardless of the young team, M-A still has high hopes for the season.
“Our main goal is to get to the WBAL final, and we are doing everything we can to get there,” said head coach Heather Titterton.
Coach Titterton has certainly put together a great team this year, winning their first scrimmage of the year by the whopping score of 20-1. The Bears will take on their first opponents, Gunn High School, at the end of February.
“We have a lot of new varsity girls and a lot of talent. [We’re] very excited for the season,” added senior Megan Wiseman.
