Girls Lacrosse Starts Season on the Right Note

The Girls Lacrosse 2014 season began with a few changes this year. With new coaches at both the varsity and JV levels, the lady bears have a lot on their plate.

Last week was the last day of try-outs after two long weeks of evaluating each player. New varsity coach Juliette Mittlemann hopes that with the right girls, the M-A girls lacrosse program will be stronger and better then ever before. Mittlemann’s major goal this season is “to change the language of the lacrosse team at M-A.” She states that “any new group of kids have their own style of learning and progressing…[so far] the team is going great!”

Coach Mittlemann expects her new team to be hard working and honorable, as well as a force to be reckoned with this season. Both at the varsity and JV level, the girls are willing to push themselves and preform at their highest potential.

The varsity team is encouraged to win PAL’s and CCS. “It’s always important at the varsity level that the team is able to get to the [next big thing] outside of the regular lacrosse season,” tells Mittlemann. To Mittlemann, this year is a transition year, she wants to improve the team to make it an overall winning program in the future.

“I suspect that we will do really well!” exclaimed Mittlemann.
