Students Lead Pajama Drive to Benefit Guatemalan Children

The M-A sector of Global Visionaries is hosting another pajama and school supply drive to benefit less privileged children in Guatemala.

Since April 7, students have been encouraged to bring footie pajamas in all children’s sizes, as well as diapers and school supplies including paper, pens, markers, and pencils. All donations can be brought to D-22, E-5, or D-24.

Students leading this drive will be going on a service trip in mid-June to distribute supplies at Hospital Hermano Pedro in Antigua, Guatemala. Footie Pajamas are ideal to keep the children at the hospital warm at night in the cold. All donated school supplies will be given to children at the school the M-A students will be building on the trip as well.

Last year the students received over 50 pairs of pajamas; this year they are leading the drive again hoping to get more, as well other types of supplies.

People going on the trip this year will be giving presentations about the drive and their cause in some 3rd period classes. Stayed tuned for possible prizes for classes that participate.

If there are any questions about donations or the drive please contact Ms. Gutof, Mr. Stuart, or Ms. Solomon.

This sounds like an amazing opportunity for M-A students to give back. I will definitely drop some PJs off.

I am glad to see this is still a project going on at M-A. Obviously we want to benefit our community, but going even further is an amazing opportunity.
